dsktps

dsktps - launching soon

So I’ve been loosely mentioning a new project I plan to start and I figured now is as good a time as any to announce it. It’s called dsktps and the idea will be to have weekly releases of wallpapers from guest artists (as well as a few by me). Hoping to offer desktop, mobile and tablet versions of each one released too. Be sure to follow it on Twitter and Facebook for news on when we’ll go live.

Honeycomb

Just purchased a new Asus Transformer Android tablet this week. Gotta say . . . I AM IN LOVE WITH THE HONEYCOMB UI! . Yea, it really is a thing of beauty. Really digging the tablet too. Really pleased with my purchase. So I suppose this could mean the start of Android/iPad wallpaper resolutions? Perhaps with July’s calendar.

Also, I’m looking to (hopefully) launch a new project in August. I’ll let ya know more soon.

Still debating if I want to use Tumblr or WP for the new site blog. Tumblr is good and all, but there’s something about my own blog. I’ve had it for like 10 years now. A lot of history in this database. Still undecided.

Tumblr or WP?

I’ve been tinkering around with that Tumblr site the kids are all talking about now-a-days. Been even thinking of using it for my kriegs.net domain when I make the jump. Thinking so much as to even be test driving it. What do you guys and gals think? Go that route? Keep a WP based blog? For those of you who actually read this thing, which do you prefer?

Goodbye Old Friend

With a heavy heart, I’ve decided to close down Phirebrush today. I haven’t been able to give it the love and attention it deserved. I hope in the future I can bring it back in some form, but for now, this chapter in the site has closed.

Clarification

Hey everyone! I’ve been getting quite a few emails about my May calendar and the display of “05/12″. Recently, I haven’t been displaying years and this is another case of that. The 12 does not stand for the year. It’s actually in reference to how many months there are in the year. The inspiration came from Portal 2 itself. For each “level” there is a marker that shows which test you are on for that level, thus 05/12.

Hope that clears things up a bit. Thanks for all the concern though guys!
